Pervert - Disrupt - Contort - Corrupt
Thought I'd never make the jump without you
Would I ever find the strength to break through
Will I never find words that sound true
Could I ever fight the fight that I knew
But I do
Did you think that it could get this far
Never didn't tell me who you are
Gonna make it out another way
So don't tell me what not to say
Did you want to move in for the kill
Never meaning for my blood to spill
Gonna live to see another day
Don't tell me what not to say
Thought I'd never win the game without you
Would I brave to cross that line that's taboo
Will my empty soul take the toll to renew
Could I break these shackled bindings in two
But I do
And I’ve learned and have earned that my back can be turned
Now the world is unfurled and the bridges are burned
Feel I’m rising on fire with a high that is new
I’m allowed to be loud and I’ll kick the wall through
And I do

Christopher cries, he’s been lonely all day
Wishing he was just one of the guys
He exists on his own the back of the room
Where his surroundings always seem straight
He walks away scared often hiding his eyes
Tired of being the butt of the joke
He dreams of a world where he feels he belongs
And his voice can be heard in a room
He's pretty in pink, isn’t he?
Pretty in pink, isn't he?
His peers talk about all the secrets he keeps
And they laugh at the lies that he lives
It’s just so easy
Isn't he pretty in pink?
No one is there for him as he withdraws
Or if they even know him by name
It’s safer to live in the shadows alone
Protected from unwanted blame
Christopher has spoken inside to himself
About loving the man that he is
Wondering how he will win at this game
And decides that today is the day
He walks out the door and embraces his light
Standing taller than he had before
He is learning to change his perspective on life
And is no longer hiding his eyes
He always feels his heart is screaming
The confidence has come and gone
All his hopes are in his hands
And wrapped around his outstretched arms
Wishing for his soul to fly
To grow the wings and soar so high
Having faith that life can change
By not giving in to run
And everything he wants is
So beautiful and important
To push him out of the comfort zone
And cause that change to start
And you know how hard it is
To make the life that we want to live
Find the strength inside yourself
By doing it
But you’re not alone

My heartbeat rises and I don’t know why
I feel like we’ve met before
I see you for the first of a thousand times
As you walked in through the door
I’m nervous to approach you, but I can’t wait
Cuz time is short and life unsure
Can’t miss my chance to connect with you
And I know that I want more
With all the things that we could say
To express the way we feel
Words would just get in the way
The emotions are what’s real
It’s hard for us not to fall so fast
With desire and heat in the air
An intoxicating energy surrounds us
Nothing matters except what we share
I walk up to you from across the room
Thoughts race inside my mind
Put my hand on your chest as I tell you my name
Other words are hard to find
You lean in close and don’t say a thing
Our energies start to combine
You look deep in my eyes and I do the same
We both know the stars have aligned
If you knew what went on inside my head
Emotions spin out of control
Want your hands all over my body
And your spirit embracing my soul
I didn’t want to wait too long to find
Warmth out in the cold
And at least for tonight it could be so right
To make each other feel whole

Burning rage engulfing each day
Consuming all the games that you play
Waste the time with the lies that you say
That nothing’s good
Lose control of your thoughts and actions
Can’t rely on your made-up factions
Fantasies are losing traction
It’s time to leave
Go away - Alone to cry and you don’t know why
Go away - Slowly drown as your crashing down
You’re hard to hold when inside your dark heart is toxic and cold
Go away - When you’re wrong and you still go on
Go away - Inside’s a hole without a soul
You’re hard to love when tragic woes are all you speak of
Blaming fate for those who bind you
Throw away all the things that you knew
Walk away from those who love you
Close the door
The same story is going no where
No victors here, the heroes don’t care
Incessant cries are too much to bear
I need some peace

Won’t accept the evidence
This cannot be true
Those words manifest
Internal fears that I never knew
Defend me from truth
The messages are coming through
Don’t know how to protect myself
Or where I should run away to
A deal with the devil
Will not change your fate
Finding the power inside
To reinforce your armored plate
You will not be defeated
Keep up the hope and fight
To maintain your strength
Through your journey in this darkest night
Logic has failed me now
Trapped inside here helplessly
Distorted thoughts
I am my own worst enemy
Contort the mind
To discover the strength inside of me
Prognosis unknown
Questioning what is my destiny?
This parasite consumes the soul
How is this my reality?
The treatment is torture
To destroy this monster inside of me
Disguised as the cure
This is not just simple brutality
The evidence is grim
To signal my own mortality

You’re a lonely soul in a crowded world
Haunted by memories of the past
A public face hiding private pain
How long can this lie last
You kept yourself in silence
As you live your daily life
Not believing it will all work out
Suffering cuts just like a knife
There are strange angels who come into your life
There are strange angels who won’t give up the fight
There are strange angels who you would not expect
There are strange angels who are here to protect
They may not be what you want
But might be what comes through
Keep your eyes and your heart open
For strange angels to come to you
You try to put it behind you
And to move on from that place
Struggling down this lonely path
Praying something will fall into place
You try to build up the strength to fight
Run from demons, chasing a dream
Although it feels impossible
It’s not as hard as it seems
The journey continues to unfold
As you travel this life you create
There are ups and downs with highs and lows
Don’t fear strange twists of fate
A caring hand pulls you back
And helps you find your way
Reaching into darkness to find your light
Live to fight another day

I took a chance on trusting you
Our bond made me feel alive
Looked into my eyes
You couldn’t wait
Told me you loved me
And this was fate
Been wanting a soulmate forever
Began this journey together
Sailed the seas, explored this world
Then you pushed me off
Pushed me off to drown
Losing vision now
Losing strength now
I take my last breath
As I sink down
The waves that flow throw me around
As undertow pulls me down
The tides get stronger as it rains
The shore gets further and further away

We got the message
I heard it on the airwaves
The politicians
Are now DJ's
The broadcast was spreading
Station to station
Like an infection
Across the nation
Well you know you can't stop it
When they start to play
you gotta get out the way
The politics of dancing
The politics of ooo feeling good
The politics of moving
Is this message understood?
We're under the pressure
Yes we're counting on you
That what you say
Is what you do
It's in the papers
It's on your TV. news
The application -
It's just a point of view
Well you know you can't stop it
When they start to play
you gotta get out the way
The politics of dancing
The politics of ooo feeling good
The politics of moving
Is this message understood?
The politics of dancing
The politics of ooo feeling good
The politics of moving
Is this message understood?
yeah...
The politics of dancing
The politics of ooo feeling good
The politics of moving
Is this message understood (x2)

Caroline laughs and it's raining all day
She loves to be one of the girls
She lives in the place in the side of our lives
Where nothing is ever put straight
She turns herself 'round and she smiles and she says
"This is it, that's the end of the joke"
And loses herself in her dreaming and sleep
And her lovers walk through in their coats
She's pretty in pink
Isn't she?
Pretty in pink
Isn't she?
All of her lovers all talk of her notes
And the flowers that they never sent
And wasn't she easy?
Isn't she pretty in pink?
The one who insists he was first in the line
Is the last to remember her name
He's walking around in this dress that she wore
She is gone but the joke's the same
Pretty in pink
Isn't she?
Pretty in pink
Isn't she?
Caroline talks to you softly sometimes
Says, "I love you" and too much
She doesn't have anything you want to steal
Well, nothing you can touch
She waves, she buttons your shirt
The traffic is waiting outside
She hands you this coat
She gives you her clothes and these cars collide
Pretty in pink
Isn't she?
Pretty in pink
Isn't she?
She always hears the talking, screaming
Her confidence is in the scene
All her favorite rags are worn
And other kinds of uniform
Kitty, are you really free?
And are you right where you want to be
Chasing her, it makes you laugh and
Sure, and you don’t you wanna run?
And everything you want is
So curious and forgotten
Push you into the overdrive
And play that rock and roll
And God knows, seems like you’re tryin’ now
But that’s anything goes
The art of talkin’ about myself
I’m tryin’ it.
